Organized Noise

Organized Noise gathered independent cultural workers of Budapest and unfolded pilot projects that searched for new paths of working, listening, and creating together.

The project began with a dinner at 1111 Gallery, where members of PAIKKA, Lahmacun Radio, MMN Mag, and 11_11 invited people who organized independent cultural events across the city. Around the table, ideas and experiences were shared in a setting that allowed for slower, more personal exchange. The dinner was conceived as a recurring gathering, gradually opening the circle to other organizations and initiatives wishing to join.

It continued with a live performance by Robert Schwarz at the Palm House of Széchenyi Baths. His piece Stridulations 1–14 transformed the tropical greenhouse into an acoustic landscape of insect sounds, vibrations, and collective rhythms. The Palm House, usually a quiet recreational space rather than a concert venue, became an unusual stage where natural acoustics and cultural practice met. This moment reflected the project’s intention to inhabit and reimagine existing public places through sound and shared presence.

Following the events, Lahmacun Radio hosted a broadcast with Lili Agg, Krisztián Puskár and Dánial Ongjerth opening up a discussion about reclaiming of cultural spaces in Budapest.

The events are organized with the support of Reset! Network, in cooperation with 11_11, MMN Mag, and Lahmacun Radio as part of the “Reclaiming Spaces” event series.
